My presentation is attached as part of this post.
The Article below was originally written for the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) of the UK and the US Chapter.
I assume that you are coming to this blog space after reading the contractor article posted on BCI and LinkedIn.
Thank You.

For this quick blog, I will go with the military nomenclature of BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front)
Yes, there are professional recruiting agencies in the market place. I have use the following three with great success and zero problems. The listing below is not in priority order, but alphabetical.
BCManagement
http://www.bcmanagement.com/
This organization specializes in Emergency Management, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery positions, and has been doing this specialty placement for over 15 years. Both recruiters for BC Management are specialists in our field and understand the profession.
Genesis 10
https://www.genesis10.com/
I have worked with G-10 (Kansas City Office) on multiple occasions with success and zero problems. G-10 is a well-established organization with knowledgeable recruiters who have considerable experience in our profession.
Robert Half
https://www.roberthalf.com/work-with-us/our-services/technology
I had an opportunity to work with one of the Robert Half offices (Albuquerque) on a two-year contract. The total time was 100% professionalism all the way. That makes a great working environment.
I highly recommend any of the above organizations above to work with.
Here are a few other things to keep in mind when working with a recruiting agency and finding the right one. Many companies have pretty well put aside their own internal HR departments and instead are using recruiters for new employees or contractors. Therefore, the number of recruiting firms on the market has exploded with no real requirements. There are some good ones, and some bad ones.
When talking with a recruiter, always remember you are considering getting into a business partnership with them for the length of the contract. And most important, always remember that you are interviewing the recruiting company as well. Is this the type of organization you want to be dealing with?
